Mediation is successful about 90 percent of the time. Mediation allows the participants to say what is on their minds and to vent their frustrations and pressures. That opportunity to express their feelings and be heard in a structured an controlled format lends itself to meaningful problem solving. Participants in mediation do not waive any legal rights so they do not risk losing access to court processes if mediation is not successful.
Mediation Works staff will schedule the mediation. The presence of attorneys in the mediation depends upon the preference of the parties.
